Nourishing the Community

Volunteers are the heart and soul of The Banquet ministry. Our mission is to equip volunteers to provide food and fellowship to those served through this ministry. We provide a safe place where people can gather, receive nourishment and experience love in action. Volunteer groups come from churches, businesses, service clubs, schools and individual families.

    145,000 meals were served to guests in 2011

    Thank you for your help on these projects:

    Run for Food- 600 runners raised $11,000
    Festival of Men’s Voices raised $7,000 for Project: SOS
    Children’s Shopping Night allowed 237 children to “shop” for their families.

  • Christmas Eve Dinner

    The Banquet’s Christmas Eve dinner was a huge success. More than  880 people enjoyed a fabulous dinner. Dozens of volunteers turned out at the Downtown Holiday Inn to make this meal a success. Our thanks goes to all of the volunteers, businesses and donors who make this wonderful evening possible for so many people.
