The Banquet meal ministry began in 1985 with a simple mission — to provide nourishment and fellowship for those in need. What started with just one meal per week has grown into a thriving program that now serves 16 meals every week across two locations in Sioux Falls.

At the heart of The Banquet is our commitment to being a volunteer-based ministry. Every meal we serve is paid for, prepared by, and served by volunteer groups who generously give their time, resources, and compassion. These groups come not only from Sioux Falls, but also from surrounding communities, uniting people from all walks of life in a common purpose: to serve our neighbors with dignity and care.

Thanks to this dedication, The Banquet has become much more than a meal. It’s a place where guests find nourishment, encouragement, and community support — and where volunteers experience the joy of making a direct, meaningful difference.
