“Shower Our Guests With Care” 

 Thank you to everyone who helped us provide personal hygiene packets to the guests of The Banquet. In addition to a  Shower Our Guests With Care  packet, each family received laundry detergent, dish detergent and toilet paper. The guests truly appreciate your generosity.

Christmas Eve Dinner

The Banquet’s Christmas Eve dinner was a huge success. More than  880 people enjoyed a fabulous dinner. Dozens of volunteers turned out at the Downtown Holiday Inn to make this meal a success. Our thanks goes to all of the volunteers, businesses and donors who make this wonderful evening possible for so many people.

Project: S.O.S. Supply Our Students

The Banquet provides area students with essential school supplies. Many dedicated individuals, businesses, churches and other organizations contribute to make this project a tremendous success. The Banquet has given more than 6,400 school supply packets to students this current school year.  Ninety percent of those supplies are given to students right here in the Sioux Falls School District. The Banquet is the only agency that provides school supplies for students in need.  Although our biggest push for supplies comes just before the start of the school year, The Banquet collects items for Project: S.O.S. year round. • Loose leaf and 1 subject spiral notebooks
• 2-inch three ring binders
• 5-inch and 7-inch pointed scissors
• 24-count colored pencils
• 12-count colored pencils
• Dry erase markers
• 8 and 10 count packages of Crayola Classic Markers (not bold)

Volunteers needed

Volunteers we need your help packing and distributing school bags. Help us on Thursday, August 16, Friday, August 17 and Saturday, August 18, 2012.  We have many volunteer slots to fill. Please call The Banquet at 605-335-7066 to sign up to help.
